Working From Home Like A Boss

With the ongoing pandemic affecting people's lives more than ever, it is now crucial to know how to work from home efficiently and positively. Some people may think that working from home is a luxury, and somewhat of an easy task. Having had to do so now for a while, those people may be wondering how to do it efficiently. It’s tricky to get your head around, and challenging to manage your time while trying to get everything done that needs to be done. 

If you are wondering what to do and how to do it, this blog is for you. Here are a few tips and tricks to make your working day run much smoother at home. 


1- Make things separate

Mentally, the main thing people are missing is the difference between home and work. You can do this at home. Try to make an office or workspace that is different from your comfortable surroundings. If your lounge is your chill space...don’t work there. Keep things separate so that your mind knows when to work and when to chill.


2- Make a schedule

Routine is everything, and just because you are working from home, it doesn't mean that the rule changes. Schedule in your work time, your breaks, your lunches, and stick to it. It is very easy to go off schedule when working from home, but if you set out your routine, you can avoid the confusion. 


3- Play the game

Part of the morning routine is getting ready to go to work. It may sound odd, but it is a great way to mentally prepare yourself for the day. Get dressed and prepared like you would if you were going to work, and then start your day. 


4- Make the most of exercise

Many people choose not to exercise in the morning because they don’t have the time to do it; now you have no excuse. Think about the time you spend commuting to work, and use some of that time to do a home workout before you start work.


5- Don’t forget about your mental health

Being isolated can be distressing, and it can create numerous levels of anxiety. You have the time now to work on yourself, so take things easy, take time out, and look after you. Perhaps you could try meditating or getting involved in online social groups to keep you going.
