While some people naturally wake up feeling refreshed and ready to go, most of us would probably prefer snoozing through our morning schedule if we could.
Most of us hit the 'snooze button' to gain that extra hours worth of beauty sleep, but did you know that this can zap productivity and cause far more issues than it solves for your day ahead?
We suggest instead of trying to get that extra hour between your alarms, invest that time to your body and mind! Here are a few of our favorite tips to help you kick start your day;
The longest period your body goes without drinking water should be when you're sleeping (hopefully!). Start your day by having a drink of water, drinking water first thing in the morning immediately helps rehydrate your body. This can be followed by your shot of coffee or tea but it's important to rehydrate your body first.
Set Your Intentions;
Give your mind 30 minutes to wake up, a lot of us have a habit of looking at our phones, social media channels and e-mails the minute we wake up. Instead of agitating your mind with work stress, start your day with positive vibes.
Start The Night Before;
Don't wait to plan your day in the morning, by writing out your to-do list and goals the night before you'll be setting yourself for success the moment your feet hit the floor in the morning.
We all have different triggers to get us motivated. Whether its a podcast, a book or a morning quote. Crave out sometime in your morning routine to do what gets you excited and motivated. Rumour has it, that the 'Inside Out Empowerment' by Joshua Nussbaum is a great podcast :).
We know, we're obviously biased. Morning workouts aren't for everyone, but if you can make it a successful habit, its proven to be the best way to start your day. A boost of energy and ticking off 'go to the gym' on your to-do list gets you motivated to dominate your day.
